Dear Members, Friends and Supporters of the St. Charles County Historical Society:
I hope this message finds you and your family healthy and happy.
The society is open the normal hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We have been closed on Saturdays, except by appointment.
We held our April Quarterly Luncheon and a Focus on Genealogy learning about what he could find at the St. Charles County Recorder of Deeds and Assessors offices. We will again have a table in front of our building for the Festival of the Little Hills, which will be held August 19-21. We need volunteers at our SCCHS table, so please call the office at 636-946-9828 if you have time to work a shift or two over the three days of the Festival. We will have our next Quarterly Luncheon on July 23 with a speaker from the Lewis and Clark Museum. More activities are planned throughout the year including the next Focus on Genealogy in September and the Cemetery tour in October. More info on these events will follow. But, it is a good idea to regularly check out our website as our activities are listed there.
The new air conditioner has been installed. We switched alarm companies and we are looking at starting work on a large digitization project on family histories. Our dog has returned to the front sidewalk area of our building. Please check him out!!! He is decorated with an American Revolution era look.
Plans are underway for our Trivia Night. Save the Date: October 15 at St. Peter Church Parish Center, St. Charles. We need auction items and tables of players. Call the office for more details.
I hope to see you at the Archives.
