Faces of 250: The Fight for Freedom

At this special America250 Event, you’ll have the chance to meet men and women who witnessed the Revolutionary War in its westernmost Battle of St. Louis.

Come meet:

Jeanette Forchet, a free Black woman who witnessed the Revolution in St. Louis

A soldier from George Rogers Clark’s Army and hear about his Spanish Militia allies

Madame dit Rigauche, a woman who charged to the entrenchments during the Battle of St. Louis

Daniel Boone’s family – and learn how they were involved during the Revolutionary period

There will also be historical craft demonstrations like blacksmithing going on around the grounds.
